Admissions Overview and Process

Aspen Heights offers the British Curriculum of England to students, providing world-class programmes to a culturally diverse student community aged 3-10 years old in our first year.

Each application is considered on a case by case basis. During the admissions evaluation, we will consider aspects such as language proficiency, behaviour with peers and additional learning needs. These are not academic entrance tests instead, they support our placement of students by ensuring classes are diverse across gender, language, nationality, and additional learning needs.

Students will be placed as per their age by 1st September if coming from nursery; according to their transfer certificate if coming from outside of Abu Dhabi or be placed in the next progressive year group as registered with eSIS if transferring within Abu Dhabi.

We have a professional team to guide and support you along the admissions process. Do not hesitate to contact our Admissions team on admissions@ahbs.ae with any questions you may have along the way.

STEP 1

Submit Your Application

Make an application online by clicking here. Once your application has been successfully submitted you will receive an automated confirmation email. Subject to availability we will then contact you and ask you to submit copies of the following documents to support your application(s):

  • End of year school report for 2015-16
  • End of year school report for 2016-17
  • Nursery reports (if applying for FS1, FS2 & Year 1)

STEP 2

Assessment

Once we have reviewed your application, if appropriate, you will be invited to attend either a playdate for students applying for FS1, FS2 and Year 1, or a classroom based assessment for students applying for Years 2-6. Once the playdate/assessment has taken place we will endeavour to respond to you within 5 working days.

STEP 3

Securing Your Childs Place

Once you receive a formal offer you will have 10 days to accept and sign and return the acceptance offer. When we receive the signed acceptance you will then be issued a registration fee invoice for 5% of the annual fee or the full term fee dependant on the time of year the offer is made. The registration fee of 5% of the annual tuition fee is deductible from the first term’s school fees. Should the student not attend Aspen Heights the registration fee is non- refundable.

Within the offer letter you will find a list of essential documents that are required to be submitted within 10 days. We require these documents to register your child with the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC).

Your childs place will be confirmed on receipt of payment and the submission of all requested documents.
