We actively promote healthy eating at school as we know that when children eat nutritionally rich food, they have more energy and will approach their studies with more enthusiasm. In the Foundation stage and Primary years we ask families to provide a healthy packed lunch for children to eat at morning snack, and at lunchtime. We suggest: cut up fruit and / or vegetable sticks, a protein rich sandwich or wrap (cheese, egg, fish or meat or rice or pasta, yoghurt or milk.)
Examples of unsuitable packed lunch additions would be: cold chicken nuggets, chips, burgers, crisps, chocolate. We also ask that no nuts are brought into school as we have a number of children with nut allergies.
We have sourced the services of a reputable supplier who are also able to supply packed lunches for your children and deliver them to their classrooms. Please see a sample menu below. Orders must be received the previous Thursday.
