An ISP Greenfield School
Aspen Heights British School is an ISP Greenfield school, purposefully established by International Schools Partnership. From the outset, students benefit from transformative, skill-building learning experiences, enriched by International Learning Opportunities (ILOs) and supported by ISP’s global network.
At Aspen Heights, learning is built on the National Curriculum for England, giving students a strong, coherent journey from primary years to IGCSE. Careful sequencing, high expectations and individual support help each learner grow in confidence academically and personally.
In Sixth Form, students extend this journey through either the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) or BTEC Level 3 Extended Diplomas. The IBDP offers broad, internationally recognised academic study with a strong focus on critical thinking, research and global citizenship. BTEC pathways provide a more vocational route, using projects, coursework and real-world assignments to develop practical skills and professional behaviours.
Together, these pathways ensure every student can shape a curriculum that suits their strengths and ambitions, and step into the next stage of education or work with clarity and confidence.
At Aspen Heights, ambition is matched by achievement. Our students consistently deliver strong outcomes in both IGCSEs and the IB Diploma Programme, with a high proportion of top-tier grades and excellent pass rates across subjects.
In IGCSEs, recent results include a significant share of grades at 9–7, with many students achieving five or more subjects at these levels, including English and Mathematics. Outstanding performances in English Language, French, Geography, and History are complemented by exceptional individual achievements, with several students earning multiple Grade 9s across their subjects.
In the IB Diploma Programme, students benefit from carefully guided subject selection, expert teaching, and robust academic support. Many graduates achieve total scores that keep them competitive for selective universities, alongside strong higher-level subject results and a solid overall pass rate across the cohort.
Aspen Heights is recognised by leading international bodies for its academic quality, wellbeing and impact. The school is an authorised IB World School for the Diploma Programme and an approved Pearson Edexcel centre, providing trusted pathways from IGCSE to IB.
Quality is further validated through full British Schools Overseas (BSO) accreditation, confirming high standards across teaching, leadership and care. Wellbeing is recognised with the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools Gold Award and the Mentl Award for outstanding mental health.
Academic outcomes are benchmarked globally, with TIMSS results in Maths (565) and Science (564) above UAE and international averages.
At Aspen Heights, technology is woven purposefully into everyday learning. As a Google for Education school, we use the Google ecosystem to make collaboration, feedback and organisation seamless for students and teachers.
Learners work with Chromebooks and iPads in age-appropriate ways, from creative projects in the early years to research, coding and media production in older year groups. These tools sit alongside specialist computer science spaces for programming, robotics and digital systems, ensuring that STEAM learning is practical, rigorous and exciting.
Digital learning is further strengthened through AI-powered platforms such as CENTURY and Elggo, which adapt in real time to each student’s needs. CENTURY supports personalised pathways in core subjects, while Elggo adds an additional layer of insight around learning and wellbeing, helping teachers intervene quickly and effectively.
At Aspen Heights, every student has a clear route to what comes next. With a 99% exam pass rate and 100% acceptance to first or second choice universities, our graduates step confidently into higher education.
From early secondary, students receive age-appropriate careers and university guidance that links subject choices to future options. In Sixth Form, a dedicated adviser supports each learner with course and country selection, personal statements, applications and interviews.
Combined with work experience, leadership opportunities and strong academic outcomes, this guidance means Aspen Heights students are well prepared for leading universities in the UK, UAE and worldwide, and for life beyond school.
At Aspen Heights, sustainability is a mindset that drives daily learning and action. Students grow as environmentally conscious problem solvers who turn learning into real-world impact.
They build scientific understanding and social responsibility through hands-on sustainability projects, from the hydroponics farm and the school’s Animal Kingdom to student-led eco-enterprises inspired by the IB CAS ethos.
This approach has delivered measurable change, including a 22% reduction in the school’s carbon footprint and recognition with the ISP ESG Award, showing how students connect classroom learning with meaningful climate action.
At Aspen Heights, wellbeing is the foundation of learning. This commitment extends to our staff community, with Aspen Heights recognised as a T4 Best School to Work, reflecting a positive, supportive environment where educators feel valued and empowered to do their best work.
Our commitment has been recognised with the Carnegie Centre of Excellence for Mental Health in Schools Gold Award, Silver Award and the Mentl Award for Outstanding Mental Health Initiative in the Education Sector Award, reflecting the depth and consistency of our practice.
Wellbeing is embedded through pastoral care, student voice and leadership roles, including student Mental Health First Aiders, as well as age-appropriate PSHE, assemblies and community events. This joined-up approach helps students feel safe, confident and ready to take on new challenges.
By placing wellbeing at the heart of school life, Aspen Heights enables children and young people not only to thrive academically, but also to develop the resilience, empathy and self-belief they need for life beyond school.
Life at Aspen Heights is active and full of opportunity. Over 50 clubs run across the year, from performing arts, sport and STEM to languages, chess, podcasting and yoga.
Aspen Heights nurtures articulate, fearless learners ready to lead with purpose. Through clubs, sports academies, leadership roles, CAS-style community projects and ISP International Learning Opportunities, students build confidence, teamwork and global awareness. ADEK’s ‘Very Good’ ratings across 83% of personal and social development areas reflect this balanced approach.
Students also grow through roles such as Head Boy and Girl, School Council, Prefects, Junior Leaders and UAE Ambassadors, plus whole-school events like House Days, Science Fair, International Day, National Day and themed celebration days.
The Aspen Heights campus is designed to grow curiosity, movement and connection with nature. Students enjoy exceptional facilities including a hydroponics greenhouse, two swimming pools and a splash pool, a new padel court, a Multi-Purpose Games Arena (MUGA) and two astroturf sports pitches, supporting active, healthy lifestyles all year round.
Hands-on, outdoor learning is a distinctive feature of school life. Children care for tortoises, fish and chickens, explore sustainable growing in the greenhouse and see the impact of their work through student-grown produce. These experiences bring science, sustainability and responsibility to life in memorable, age-appropriate ways.
Across the campus, specialist spaces - from science labs, makerspaces and computer science rooms to music rooms, a dance studio and performing arts hall – ensure that learning is practical, creative and engaging, helping students feel proud of the place they call their school.
Aspen Heights is a proudly multilingual community, welcoming students from 60+ nationalities and supporting a wide range of home languages. English is the main language of learning, with Arabic, Spanish and French embedded across the school.
Students study Arabic through the MOE curriculum, integrated throughout the school. In Years 3–6, learners add Spanish and French, and in Years 7–9 Spanish continues as a core language. Older students can pursue French at IGCSE and Spanish in the IB Diploma Programme, with opportunities to sit additional language exams (including Arabic, French, Spanish and other home languages) through Pearson Edexcel and Cambridge Assessment, depending on availability.
Digital tools are used purposefully to support language progress. Platforms such as FlashAcademy and Widgit AI, alongside iPads and Chromebooks, help students build vocabulary, practise listening and speaking, and work at their own pace with engaging, interactive activities.
At Aspen Heights, life skills are developed every day through our learning principles and the ISP Life Competencies. Students learn to build resilience and a growth mindset by responding positively to setbacks, staying motivated and seeing mistakes as opportunities to improve. They grow in independence and time management as they plan their work, meet deadlines and take increasing responsibility for their learning and choices.
Communication and teamwork are strengthened as students listen carefully, express ideas clearly and collaborate with others in a respectful, inclusive way. Through reflection and support, they also develop adaptability and emotional regulation, learning how to manage change, handle pressure and make thoughtful, responsible decisions.
By combining Aspen Heights’ learning principles with ISP Life Competencies, students become confident, capable and well‑rounded young people, ready to thrive in further study, work and life beyond school.
ISP Greenfield schools are a shared ecosystem of innovation and ambition from the outset. Students embark on a dynamic and personalised learning journey, guided by the transformative Learning.First™ approach - embedded into the school’s design from day one, unique only to the ISP family of schools. They learn through five pillars enriched by worldwide collaborations and solving real-world problems with peers across continents.
This powerful combination of academic achievement, multilingual learning and international opportunities creates unparalleled future pathways, preparing students for leading universities and global careers.
