Aspen Heights British School, an international school in Abu Dhabi, is proud to have received the Edarabia Parents’ Choice Award 2026, recognising the school’s commitment to providing an exceptional educational experience and the trust and confidence of its parent community.

What the Edarabia Parents’ Choice Award 2026 Recognises

The Edarabia Parents’ Choice Award celebrates schools that have demonstrated excellence in education, student wellbeing and community engagement. For Aspen Heights, the recognition is particularly meaningful because it reflects the positive experiences of the families who have chosen the school as their partner in their child’s education.

At Aspen Heights, strong relationships between students, families and teachers are central to school life. The school aims to ensure that every child is known, supported and encouraged to make progress, while creating an environment where students feel happy, confident and excited about learning.

Receiving the Edarabia Parents’ Choice Award 2026 is therefore a celebration of the whole Aspen Heights community, the students who bring energy and curiosity to school each day, the teachers and staff who know and support them, and the families who play such an important role in school life.

The Learning Journey at Aspen Heights British School

As a British school in Abu Dhabi and part of International Schools Partnership (ISP), Aspen Heights shares a learning-first approach focused on helping every child make progress and achieve more than they thought possible. Students are encouraged to explore their interests, think critically, develop their strengths and become increasingly confident and independent learners.

As a British curriculum school in Abu Dhabi, Aspen Heights follows the National Curriculum for England through to IGCSE, with students then choosing the IB Diploma or BTEC Level 3 pathway in Sixth Form.

Gillian Hammond, Principal of Aspen Heights British School, said:

“Receiving this award means a great deal to us because it reflects the experiences of our families. Parents place enormous trust in us when they choose a school for their child, and we never take that for granted."

“I’m incredibly proud of our teachers and staff, who know our children so well and work hard every day to make sure they feel happy, supported and excited to learn. Most of all, I’d like to thank our parents for being such an important part of Aspen Heights. This really is an achievement for our whole school community.”

Student Wellbeing and Community at the Heart of School Life

The award also recognises an area that is fundamental to the Aspen Heights experience: student wellbeing. Children learn best when they feel safe, valued and understood, and the school’s teachers and support teams work closely with students and families to provide the individual care and encouragement children need to thrive.

Community engagement is equally important. The partnership between school and home extends beyond communication about a child’s progress; families are an active part of the Aspen Heights community, contributing to the sense of connection and belonging that shapes the experience of students at the school. Mrs, Amna Shahood, an Aspen parent said

“I have two children at Aspen Heights British School and we have been here for four years now, and so happy with the school. It’s a blessing that we found Aspen Heights for our children, it’s like our second home and I hope my children will stay here till they go off to university. It’s an absolute pleasure being part of the Aspen family”.

The Edarabia Parents’ Choice Award 2026 is a proud moment for Aspen Heights British School and an opportunity to thank the families who continue to place their trust in the school.

Looking ahead, Aspen Heights remains focused on what matters most: continually improving learning, strengthening its partnership with families, and creating an environment where every student has the opportunity to grow, achieve, and approach their future with confidence. Families considering a private school in Abu Dhabi are welcome to book a tour of the campus at any point during the year.
