Performing arts programme

Performing Arts at Aspen Heights British School is where students find their voice, grow their confidence and step into the spotlight - from the Early Years right through to Sixth Form. In drama, music and visual arts, students rehearse, experiment and perform, turning ideas into live moments on stage and screen.

Subjects of specialization

Students at Aspen Heights British School deepen their Performing Arts experience through focused pathways in drama, music and production, developing confidence, creativity and professionalism as they prepare for high‑quality performances and community events.

Fine Arts

In both Primary and Secondary, Drama provides a powerful space for students to explore identity, empathy and expression. From early storytelling, role‑play and improvisation through to more structured performance work, students learn to communicate with clarity and intent.

In Secondary, drama experiences become increasingly demanding, asking students to analyse character, experiment with staging and perform with professionalism for live audiences.

Fine Arts

Music

Music is woven through the Performing Arts journey from the earliest years. In Primary, children develop musicality through singing, rhythm work and simple instrumental activities that build confidence and joy in performance.

As they move into Secondary, students experience more structured music learning, building skills in performance, ensemble work and musical understanding that support high‑quality concerts and school productions.

Music

Production & performance

Across the school, students are involved in the full process of staging performances. In Primary, this culminates in the annual Drama Workshop Week, where pupils help to create a complete production in just five days - learning songs and choreography, rehearsing scenes and contributing ideas to scenery, props and costumes.

In Secondary, students work towards polished productions and key community events such as National Day and International Day celebrations, developing a sense of responsibility, teamwork and pride as they perform for local and global audiences.
